7:06 am	ramblings i never ever update this thing. i originally set up this lj to check out the baristas community. i haven't worked for teh 'bucks in over a year. let's see what i have been up to lately. *work- caregiver in a group home. got my cna last year, worked in a snf for 7 weeks, and did coffee and retail for a while. *mom- due to the above, i barely see them. :( i am going to try and stay awake today so I can. *school- i hate quia. i never do it. maybe that's why grade sucks in span. 102. Shit, i'll probably have to take it yet again. *money- rent went up. right before christmas! stay classy there, landlord! well- those are my ramblings for now. 1:56 am	genuine! tonight at work, i recieved a green apron "genuine" card. it was from another store manager! i didn't even know she was one til she gave me her partner card at the p.o.s. when i was marking out her beans. i have noticed her coming into the store the past few days and didn't realise she was a partner. i did notice she was a bit more "patient" than a regular customer. tonight, we chatted a bit and i found out her store is about 20 min away from mine and she has been taking care of her mom whose home was close to my store. we talked about how the 'bux will give you time off for these types of things and how we thought that was a really great benefit. my ss was done grinding the other sm's beans and had gone on to something else since i was done chatting and ringing. ss pulled me aside and asked "what happened? what did you guys talk about? i said " nothing . just about how she's a sm and likes the benefits" ss is like " oh, cause she asked for your name." i thought" oh crap what did i do?" we both kinda shrugged our shoulders. other store manager comes up and says " asperin, i just wanted to give you this." and " thank you for the *legendary* service, i have been coming in the past few days and you do a great job!" i almost cried. 11:07 am	a new drink! ( for me at least) For ever and a day i have been drink iced venti caramel macchiatos. to the recipe. i am one of the rare ones that doesnt get some fancy, super-modified drink. My last shift, i tried a grande breve white mocha/mocha. hot, i think iced breve would be nasty, but there is a shift at my store that gets iced venti breve caramel sauce lattes. I thought it was yummy. i feel weird about ordering it because i always thought breve people were snobby. and ordering it just to be "cool" i have been craving one since monday and have been too afraid of ordering it. jeez. :roll eyes: (Comment on this)

5:33 am	i am such a dork! i totally thought i had to open this morning at 5 am. nope! didn't have to be there til 10am. I was trying to clock in and i was blocked. "what the heck?" i thought. so, shift looks at schedule and says "girl, you arent supposed to be here til 10!" "aww crap!" i said. there was a glimmer of hope since the partner who was supposed to be there was abt 5 min late. but no, i am here, at home. fully awake. please tell me someone else has done this.
